Research shows that peer feedback holds many benefits, e.g. enhances learning and self-assessment, while also building important professional competencies and strengthening study communities. Further, peer feedback speaks into recent teaching trends such as dialogical teaching and process oriented learning. How come, then, students often feel weary about the use of peer feedback? Departing from conversations with BA and MA students from the Saxo Institute, we investigate students’ experiences, expectations and valuation of peer feedback and develop ideas for scaffolding peer feedback so that students can benefit from it.
