An important precondition for navigating an impossibly broad field such as Cognition and Communication is having a sense of what you are looking for. Interest development is an important and often ignored aspect of education. I developed a set of reflection exercises to aid students reflect on what has caught their interests, and how they can further pursue those interests. An evaluation of the exercises shows that students appreciated the exercises and helped them further their ideas about next steps to take in their education.
