This paper examines the evolution of master's theses topics in musicology at the University of Copenhagen, 2000–2024. Compiling a bibliography and analyzing the titles of 618 theses, the study categorizes them by sub-discipline, repertoire, period, geography, and topic. Among other things, the paper highlights shifts from traditional music history to popular music studies, reflecting curricular changes. The presentation also explores the impact of faculty specializations and broader social movements on students’ choices. The findings aim to inform curriculum development and foster a deeper understanding of student interests in musicology.
